AMHERST, N.Y. – Safety Sean Baker's record-breaking night got a little bit sweeter in the third quarter.
After breaking the Ball State career interception record in the first quarter, Baker returned a fumble for a touchdown in the third quarter to give the Cardinals a 17-3 lead.
Ian McGarvey added a 32-yard field goal just before the third quarter ended, extending Ball State's lead to 20-3. The field goal was McGarvey's second of the game.
