Ball State didn't just post two wins in Mid-American Conference play this weekend, libero Allyssa Rio won MAC West Division Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week.
Rio had a game-high 26 digs in both games this weekend against Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan.
The Cardinals protected their home court beating the Chippewas 3-1 and the Eagles 3-0.
Ball State held Central Michigan to their lowest attack percentage of the season and held Eastern Michigan to their third lowest.
With the wins Ball State has moved into four-way tie for first place of the MAC West.
