FOOTBALL: Ball State, Eastern Michigan enter fourth quarter tied at 28

Three unanswered touchdowns by Eastern Michigan, including two in the third quarter, tied the score at 28 going into the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Alex Gillett found tight end Ben Thayer open over the middle for a 33-yard touchdown pass with 5:23 to play in the third quarter to tie the game.

Ball State was unable to get much going offensively in the third quarter, running 11 plays for 22 yards.

Running back Eric Williams leads the Cardinals with 64 rushing yards. Keith Wenning is 12-for-21 for 114 yards and two touchdowns. He also has a rushing touchdown.
