Ball State hits the road Saturday for a matchup at 1 p.m. at Central Michigan.
Both the Cardinals and the Chippewas are coming off close wins last weekend. Ball State is 1-3 in the conference while Central Michigan is 1-1.
"Playing together and helping each other out will be a key to winning." coach Beth Maddox said.
Ball State midfielder Devanny Kuhn is tied for first in the Mid-American Conference with nine goals, including four game-winners, which leads the conference.
"She has great speed and a great reach. She wants to score goals," Maddox said.
Ball State returns to its home field at 11 a.m. Sunday to take on UC-Davis in the teams' first-ever matchup.
"They [UC-Davis] are a new program," Maddox said. "They have new energy and spunk."
The Cardinals are 3-1 at home and will look for another win Sunday.
