Commencement speakers announced

The Ball State Board of Trustees announced the speakers for the upcoming Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 Commencements.

Nationally recognized broadcasters Steve Inskeep and Steve Kroft will be headed to Muncie to address the graduates.

Inskeep, the co-host of "Morning Edition" on National Public Radio, will speak at the Fall Commencement on Dec. 18. A Hoosier raised in Carmel, Inskeep has hosted "Morning Edition" with Renée Montagne since 2004.

"Morning Edition" is the most widely listened to radio news program in the United States, said Kevin Burke, director of University Communications.

The Spring Commencement speaker is a prolific voice in the world of broadcast journalism. Kroft, a correspondent for CBS's "60 Minutes" and a native of Kokomo, Ind., will speak May 7.

With a career full of international reporting, Kroft has been awarded many prestigious awards including 10 Emmy awards.

Fall Commencement is held at Worthen Arena, and Spring Commencement begins at the Arts Terrace.
