Coach Alex Marconi announced Tuesday that Jeremy Plexico would join Ball State's coaching staff as pitching coach.
Plexico fills the final hole in the coaching staff after this summer's shakeup caused by Greg Beals leaving Ball State to become head coach at Ohio State. Plexico replaces Mike Stafford, who joined Beals at Ohio State as pitching coach.
Plexico was pitching coach at Young Harris Junior College in Georgia last season. He also played in the Nationals' organization for five years, reaching Class AA Harrisburg. Plexico pitched one season in independent ball, playing in Gary.
