For the sixth time in school history, a Ball State University men's tennis player has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Year.
Junior Eduardo Pavia, who went undefeated at No. 1 singles through MAC play this season for the Cardinals, earned MAC Player of the Year, as announced on Tuesday.
Pavia, who was also named First Team All-MAC for the third straight year, had an 18-4 overall record in singles this season and was 4-0 in MAC play. He also had a 13-5 record in doubles play.
One other Ball State player earned postseason accolades on Tuesday.
For the second straight season, Cliff Morrison was named Second Team All-MAC. Morrison had an 11-11 record in singles play, mostly at the No. 2 spot. He was also 5-4 in doubles action.
The Cardinals' season ended last Friday with a 4-2 loss to eventual MAC Tournament champion Western Michigan University in the MAC Tournament semifinals.
