The University Program Board anticipates another large crowd for its annual Easter egg hunt at the Quad today.
Dianna Lampitt, assistant director for programs, said between 500 and 700 people came to the Easter Eggstravaganza last year, and she hopes for another big turnout today.
"I enjoy seeing the kids that go out," she said. "They come from different directions. It's a mob."
The event is organized for children in the community, and Lampitt said there's always a number of faculty and staff who bring their kids.
"Obviously we primarily operate to provide the students of Ball State with programming, but every year we like to do this event for faculty and the Muncie community," Lampitt said in a press release.
The Eggstravaganza lasts from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and includes four different egg hunts for various age groups. Other activitites include tie-dying T-shirts, coloring contests and the Easter Bunny.
All participants will receive a bag of candy.
"It's a tradition in this area," Lampitt said.
