After going 2-3 in its season-opening tournament in Georgia, the Ball State University softball team again travels south to participate in the Frost Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The Cardinals face off against East Tennessee State University and Wright State University today before facing Austin Peay State University and Central Connecticut State University on Saturday and wrapping up with the undefeated University of Tennessee at Martin on Sunday.
Ball State is led by reigning Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Year Elizabeth Milian, who is 2-1 this season with a 0.35 ERA and 35 strikeouts.
The Cardinals' offense, however, has struggled for the most part. As a team, Ball State is hitting .229 and has scored just eight runs in five games. Senior first baseman/designated hitter Jen Reifschneider leads the team with three RBI, while hitting .250 with a double and a homerun.
