Gov. Mitch Daniels' confidence in Ball State University showed Wednesday as he extended three members' stay on the Board of Trustees.
"The governor constantly monitors the progress of state universities, especially Ball State," spokesman Brad Rateike said. "The governor is pleased with the direction Ball State is headed."
Marianne Glick, president of Glick Training Associates in Indianapolis, Frank Hancock, president of Sport Graphics, Inc. in Indianapolis, and Barbara Phillips, chief learning officer at Gaylor, Inc. in Carmel, Ind., were all reappointed to the nine-member board Wednesday.
Daniels has been in contact with President Jo Ann Gora and the Board of Trustees about the reappointments, Rateike said.
"When it comes time to make decisions like this the governor is always well informed," he said.
The board consists of two Ball State alumni, one full-time student and six members appointed at large by Daniels. Appointments are for four-year terms, according to Ball State's Web site.
