If Laura Seibold-Caudill could pick a place to have her team's home swim meets, it might not be Lewellen Pool. Over the past two seasons, the Ball State University women's swimming and diving team is undefeated at the IU Natatorium at IUPUI. The Cardinals will look to continue that streak on Saturday in a four-way dual at IUPUI. Before they can, however, they will host Eastern Illinois University Friday night at Lewellen.
Seibold-Caudill said that Eastern Illinois is a good team, but a very beatable team. The biggest disadvantage for the Panthers is the fact that they do not have any divers.
This weekend is the fifth weekend in the last six in which the Cardinals have had meets on both Friday and Saturday.
Seibold-Cauill admitted that her team is tired, but that it is strengthening her team both mentally and physically and that will be key for the Cardinals in February at the Mid-American Conference Championship Meet.
Seibold-Caudill said that Thanksgiving Break gave her team a nice break, but that all the traveling and going home and getting out of a set routine can be just as exhausting.
The meet will get underway tonight at Lewellen Pool at 6 p.m.
