Each week, The Daily News' sports crew picks its PPQ - the play, player and quote of the week.
This week's best:
Player of the Week
Audrey McDonald, women's basketball — Led the Cardinals with 22 points in a 89-77 win against the University of North Dakota Sunday. McDonald had four three-pointers in the game and became Ball State's all-time leading 3-point shooter.
Play of the Week
Charlie Todd, football — returned a punt 87 yards for a touchdown with 7:57 remaining against Western Michigan University. Ball State went on to win the game 22-17, ending the season on a high note despite its 2-10 record.
Quote of the Week
"I call [MiQuale Lewis] Stuart Little because he's so small. But he gets the job done. [Four] weeks ago Stuie went for 300 yards and [Cory Sykes] had 200. I called Eddie and told him ‘them boys are killing.'" — Ball State football coach Stan Parrish on the Cardinals' new saying created by senior and former Marine Brandon Crawford.
