What
Tech4u highlights technology being used and created on campus. There will be 10 presentations on how technology and the internet can help you now and in the future. They will cover such things as "Flicker and Blogs," "Reading your DAPR" and "Google Wave." There will also be three demo and training sessions.
When
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Presentations are 10 to 15 minutes long. Two of the demo and training sessions are an hour long.
Where
The Schwartz Complex on the first floor of Bracken Library.
Who
Everyone can attend. This event is meant for all majors. Several groups including Tech Time, BSU Computer Store and Extreme gaming League will have booths set up. Participating vendors include Apple, Microsoft and Dell.
Why
Learn about new technology and how you can use it in school and life. "If somebody sees some neat idea, they might use it in one of their classes," Tech4U organizer Denise Jones said. There are also food and prizes. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. there will be samples of food from all over the world. Once there you can sign up to win one of 15 4GB flash drives and a Nintendo Wii. The winner of the Nintendo Wii will be announced at 2 p.m.
