One former Ball State University football player recently signed his 10th NFL contract, while another is a rookie looking to prove himself on the practice squad ranks.
Former first team All-Mid-American-Conference punter Reggie Hodges on Wednesday signed with the Tennessee Titans, while former Cardinals offensive lineman Andre Ramsey signed onto the Buffalo Bills' practice squad.
Hodges received the opportunity to punt for his seventh NFL team when Titans punter Craig Hentrich suffered a calf injury in Tennessee's Sunday loss to the Texans, The Tennessean reported Wednesday.
Hodges averaged 42.8 yards per punt last season for the New York Jets.
Ramsey, meanwhile, went undrafted in April's NFL Draft and was originally signed by the Seattle Seahawks before being released before the start of this season.
Ramsey, who signed with the Bills on Wednesday as reported by The Associated Press, started the last 19 games of his Ball State career - including 14 games of his 2008 senior season where the Cardinals went 12-2 and allowed one sack per game, good enough for fourth nationally.
