Three Ball State University football players from last season's team were cut by their NFL teams on Saturday.
Tackle Andre Ramsey was cut by the Seattle Seahawks, tight end Darius Hill was cut by the Cincinnati Bengals and center Dan Gerberry was cut by the Detroit Lions as NFL teams finalized their 53-man roster.
All three players were not selected in April's NFL Draft after starting for Ball State last season. The Cardinals finished the 2008 regular season undefeated and then lost the conference championship game and the GMAC Bowl.
The only two Ball State players from last year's team to not be cut were quarterback Nate Davis and tackle Robert Brewster.
Davis, who the San Francisco 49ers drafted in the fifth round, made the final roster as the team's third-string quarterback. Brewster, who the Dallas Cowboys drafted in the third round, went on the physically unable to perform list following an injury to his pectoral muscle during the summer.
