The university announced earlier this week that Ball State Day at the Indiana State Fair will be Saturday.
The day-long event will include representatives from every college at Ball State University and the Project 18 mobile van. Project 18, which was Ball State helped develop earlier this year, is an 18-week curriculum given to Indiana elementary schools to help prevent childhood obesity.
In addition, the Ball State Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will host a sports zone where people can practice kill attempts on a modified volleyball court, kicking field goals and shooting baskets.
Ball State Day will also feature 'So You Wanna Be on TV.' At this event, people will have the chance to be an anchor on a newscast and will get a DVD of their anchor performance.
The Indiana State Fair is open from Friday until Aug. 23 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. General admission tickets are $8.
