It's been a busy week on campus for the members of Ball State University's greek community, and today will be no exception.
Both men and women will be on the University Green near the Whitinger Business Building with recruitment information and a chance to meet members of greek organizations. The setup will be similar to Monday and Tuesday's events at the Scramble Light, where sorority members were handing out informational cards and fraternity members gave highfives to passing students.
"It's a great chance for us to get exposure from students that we might not otherwise be able to reach," said Cory Schneider, vice president of public relations for the Interfraternity Council. "It's great for us to be able to spend our time in an area with such heavy student traffic."
Jenn Eakins, Panhellenic vice president of community relations, said she agrees.
"This is such an exciting time for us," she said. "We love being able to better the chapters as a whole by reaching so many women on campus," she said.
On Thursday there will be a Meet the Greeks informational held at Pruis Hall from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The meeting is open for any student to attend. It will include basic information, outline goals for the year and have a presentation about the new slogan "For now. For tomorrow. Forever."
In addition, sorority members will have a registration event Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Arts and Journalism Building, where students can register to be a part of recruitment week. There is a $25 fee that should to be paid at the time of registration.
