WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Ball State releases season ticket prices, options

People wanting to purchase tickets to the Ball State University women's volleyball team's home matches will now have their chance.

The Ball State athletics department announced Tuesday that 2009 season tickets for the Cardinals are now on sale.

Season tickets are $44 and include tickets to Ball State's 11 regular season home matches and admission to all six matches in the Active Ankle Challenge on Sept. 4-5 at Worthen Arena.

There are also two other ticket package options: the MAC Pack and the Flex Pack.

The MAC Package is $32 for tickets to the eight Mid-American Conference home matches Ball State will play this season. The Flex Pack is $20 and gives people the option of choosing any five Ball State home matches to attend.

In addition to the season ticket packages, individual-match tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for people 2 years old to 18 years old. Ball State students can attend the matches for free with their student ID.

The Cardinals finished last season 12-21 and advanced to the MAC Tournament quarterfinals. The team will have all its starters returning from the 2008 season.

Ball State will open its home schedule with three matches in the Active Ankle Challenge, including a match against the defending Big East champions Louisville on Sept. 5. Following this weekend, its next home match will be its conference opener against Northern Illinois University on Sept. 25.
