WOMEN'S GOLF: Kelley tied for lead after 1st round of Indiana Women's Open

After the first round of play Monday, Ball State University women's golfer Brittany Kelley is tied for the lead at the Indiana Women's Open at the Legends Golf Course in Franklin.

Kelly shot a first round 1-under-par 71 to tie her for the lead with Aimee Neff from Michigan State University. The pair will be joined by Audrey Fellmeth from Xavier University and Courtney Meyer from Gardner-Webb University who shot 73 and 74 to make up the final pairing of the Open. Their tee time is scheduled for 9:57 a.m.

Three other returning members from Ball State and an incoming freshman for the Cardinals are also competing in the open.

Incoming freshman, Autumn Duke shot an 8-over-par 80, which was good enough for 29th place after the first round. She will tee off at 8:54 a.m. Kristtini Cain was one stroke behind Duke, shooting a 9-over-par 81. She will tee off at 8:36 a.m. Rachael Pruett and Katie Windlan shot 10-over-par and 15-over-par.
