Students should not plan on sleeping in too late on Saturdays this fall if they want to see a majority of the Ball State University football team's games.
The Cardinals announced Thursday afternoon the start times for 11 of their 12 regular season games, including six games that will start before 1:15 p.m.
Ball State will have four games beginning at noon, including three home games. The Cardinals will play its Homecoming game against the University of Toledo at noon Oct. 3, Bowling Green State University at noon Oct. 17 and Ohio University at noon Oct. 31.
The only road game Ball State will play beginning at noon is against Army on Sept. 19.
The Cardinals will also have two road games starting at 1 p.m. - against Temple University on Oct. 10 and against Eastern Michigan University on Oct. 24.
Ball State will play five night games this season, including four nationally televised evening games on the ESPN network.
The team opens its season with a home game against the University of North Texas at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 3 that airs on ESPNU. It will also play three consecutive conference games at night in November, including a home game against Central Michigan University on Nov. 18, which will either air on ESPN2 or ESPNU and start at 6 p.m. or 8 p.m.
In addition, Ball State will play road games against Northern Illinois University at 6 p.m. Nov. 12 that will air on ESPNU and Western Michigan University at 7 p.m. that will air on ESPN2
The only Ball State night game not nationally televised is its home game's against New Hampshire University - a Football Championship Subdivision team - at 7 p.m. Sept. 12.
Ball State's only game without a scheduled start time is its non-conference road game against Auburn University on Sept. 26.
After finishing the 2008 regular season undefeated, Ball State lost its final two games of the season, including a 32-point loss in the GMAC Bowl. The Cardinals were ranked nation's top 15 before losing their last two games and finished the season unranked.
