The field for winning the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program is down to five people and a Ball State student is one of remaining people.
Ellen Bryan, a junior telecommunications major, was named one of five finalists for the Miss Ohio title tonight in Mansfield, Ohio.
Bryan was chosen as a finalist from the 10 semifinalists after participating in the evening wear, swimsuit and talent portion of tonight's finals. The five finalists selected had the top scores in these events.
Winning the Miss Lake Festival earlier this year, Bryan is a vocalist talent. Her platform is "When Thunder Roars, Go Indoors" to promote lighting awareness.
The new Miss Ohio will be crowned later tonight and will advance the 2010 Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas.
