MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Key Ohio State starter out for championship match vs. Ball State

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ball State University men's volleyball team's chances of winning a conference tournament may have just gotten a little bit better.

Ohio State University's all-conference middle attacker John Albertson will not play against Ball State in the conference tournament championship match because of a leg injury.

Albertson, a Second Team All-Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association player, leads the Buckeyes with 86 blocks and 1.39 blocks per game. In Ohio State's two wins against Ball State in the regular season, the senior middle attacker led the team in blocks both times.

The MIVA championship match will begin at 7 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio.
