MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Cards lose game one to Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ball State University men's volleyball team lost the first game of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tournament championship match against No. 10 Ohio State University 30-25.

Ohio State out-hit Ball State .241 to .100 and had three players with at least three kills. The Buckeyes' outside attacker Robbie Klein and the Cardinals' outside attacker Todd Chamberlain both have a match-high four kills.

With middle attacker Ben Spurlock serving and Ohio State trailing Ball State 6-4, the Buckeyes went on an 8-0 run to get a six-point lead. In that run, Spurlock had one ace - the only ace of the game.

The winner of this championship match will advance to the NCAA Final Four on Thursday in Provo, Utah.
