Grads receive award for commitment to Ball State

Recipients will be honored during Homecoming Week

The Ball State University Alumni Association recognized eight graduates as 2009 recipients of the Graduate of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.) Award.

This award is presented to alumni who have shown exemplary personal and professional achievement, community involvement and a commitment to Ball State in the ten years since graduating.

The annual G.O.L.D. award was created to include both traditional and non-traditional graduates. This year's winners are from as far away as San Francisco, Calif. and Baumholder, Germany.

The recipients will be honored during the 2009 Homecoming Week. Alumni Association chariperson Jo Ann Johnston will present them with awards at a recognition dinner on Friday, Oct. 2 according to a press release.
