WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Ball State gets votes in final coaches' poll

The Ball State University women's basketball team received six votes in the final Division I USA Today Coaches' Poll, which was released today.

The Cardinals received the ninth most votes of teams not in the top 25, which would put them at 34th in the poll. It was the first time Ball State received votes in the final poll.

Ball State finished the season with a 26-9 overall record. The Cardinals won their first Mid-American Conference Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. Ball State beat the University of Tennessee in the first round of the tournament, which was the first time the Volunteers ever lost in the first or second round.
