Student arrested on suspicion of armed robbery

Police arrested a Ball State University student after an armed robbery Sunday at the Marathon gas station at the intersection of Tillotson and Bethel avenues, according to police reports.

Chadwick Nash, 20, was arrested after Muncie police received a report from staff at the Marathon that a man matching Nash's description walked out with a case of beer, according to the Muncie Police Department's arrest report. When the clerk said something, Nash said he was carrying a weapon and walked out, according to the report.

Police found Nash at his house on Jefferson Street. They identified him as the armed robbery suspect and arrested him, according to the report.
