Coach Craig Nicholson earned his 800th career victory Saturday as his Ball State University softball team defeated the University of Toledo 2-0.
The win moves the Cardinals to 9-1 in the Mid-American Conference, which equals the team's total MAC wins last year.
Alyssa Collins went 2-for-3 with a run, while Jen Reifschneider went 1-for-2 with a run and an RBI.
Pitcher Elizabeth Milian improved her record to 14-10 on the season and 6-1 in the MAC with her fourth complete game shutout of the season.
Ball State is next in action Sunday as it once again will face Toledo. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
