Ball State University freshman men's tennis player Cliff Morrison was named the Mid-American Conference Tennis Player of the Week today.
Morrison improved his record to 12-3 on the season last week at the Boise State Invitational, where he went 2-1 in singles play. Morrison beat his opponent from Idaho State University 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4 singles, and he beat his opponent from Sacramento State University 6-3, 7-6, 7-3 at No. 3 singles. He lost his singles match against the University of Memphis 2-6, 7-6, 3-6 at No. 5 singles.
Morrison has the best record of the Ball State players this season. He and the rest of the Cardinals will return to action Friday at the University at Buffalo.
