Four Ball State University men's tennis players earned All-Mid-American Conference honors for the 2009 season, the MAC announced today.
Sophomore Eduardo Pavia earned First Team All-MAC honors for the second time in his career. Pavia went 13-8 and 3-2 in MAC play this season for the Cardinals at No. 1 and 2 singles, which was the second best overall record for Ball State this season.
Freshman Cliff Morrison earned Second Team All-MAC honors after joining the Cardinals at the beginning of the semester. Morrison had the team's best overall record at 14-6, with him splitting time at No. 3 through 6 singles. He also went 3-2 in league play.
Senior Jose Perdomo also received Second Team All-MAC honors, which was the third consecutive season he earned a conference award. Perdomo went 11-10 this season and 3-2 in MAC play, splitting time between No. 1 and 2 singles.
Senior Jorge Rodriguez earned a spot on the All-MAC Tournament Team for the first time in his career. Rodriguez was undefeated in conference action this season, the lone Cardinal to accomplish the feat. He won both of his matches in the MAC Tournament.
