This isn't the typical barbershop. The similarities end at the sight of locks of hair hitting the floor and the sound of scissors and hair clippers buzzing.
Algier Williamson is the owner and operator of Campus Cuts, a local barbershop in the Village. Williamson has been cutting hair in Muncie for the last four years, but has been trimming people up for 11 years.
"I would pay my brother to cut his hair," said Williamson. "I remember he would say, 'Yeah, you can cut my hair but it'll cost you 10 bucks,' and that's how much I loved cutting hair."
Being around many different kinds of people and meeting a diverse crowd is also one of Williamson's favorite things. - "Cutting hair in Muncie has been a blessing to my life," Williamson said.
