Ball State festival princesses at events today

Two Indianapolis 500 Festival Princesses from Ball State University are offering an outreach program about the race at 3 p.m. and again at 4 p.m. today in the Arts and Communication building Rm. 221.

As princesses, Jeannette Young and Jennifer Eakins are required to run at least two events informing their community about the Indy 500 Festival.

Young, a speech pathology major, said she wanted to incorporate the Ball State Speech and Hearing Clinic.

The program, which will be at the clinic, is geared towards first through fourth grade clients and fans of the race.

Young and Eakins will read the book "I is for Indy," show a short video highlighting the events in May and play a game with the kids.

The goal of the event is to inform people about the Festival's history and this year's events.
