Four players left the Ball State University women's volleyball team for undisclosed reasons.
Junior Christine Kennedy, sophomore Cassie Conner, freshman Abby LaVigne and freshman Katie Gallagher will not return to the team for the 2008 season, first-year coach Dave Boos said in a press release Monday.
"At the conclusion of the season, the Ball State women's volleyball program underwent some roster changes," Boos said in the press release. "This is a natural process with a new coach, culture and expectation level. We wish the players who are no longer with the program the best of luck in their future endeavors. The staff and current team are working hard this spring to prepare for a successful 2008 season."
Boos declined to comment about why the women left the team.
Conner also declined to comment about why she left the Cardinals.
"I'm no longer on the team and I'm looking to play for another university," she said.
Kennedy, Gallagher and LaVigne could not be reached for comment.
