Ball State University women's volleyball coach Dave Boos received his fourth commitment for his 2008 class. Alisha Green, a 6-foot-2-inch attacker, spent the previous two seasons with the University of Tampa.
In 2006 Tampa won the NCAA Division II National Championship and followed it up this past season with a quarterfinals appearance. With 422 kills and the seventh best attacking percentage in Division II at .395 in 2007, Green earned American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America Third Team.
"Alisha Green is a significant addition to Ball State volleyball," Boos said in a press release. "She is an elite athlete with a unique quickness and jumping ability."
Green, originally from Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills, Ill., joins Jennifer Boyd, a six-foot home-schooled blocker from Evans City, Pa., Brittany McGinnis, a 5-foot-10-inch setter from Fraser, Mich., and Kaylee Schembra, a 5-foot-4-inch defensive specialist from Indianapolis, who were signed in November.
