The Cardinals flock home this weekend as six teams play in Muncie

Men's BasketballComing off its worst loss of the season, the Ball State men's basketball team plays host to Eastern Michigan at 1 p.m. Saturday at Worthen Arena. Coach Billy Taylor said the entire team must step up to get back on the winning track after a short turnaround from Wednesday's 26-point loss to Western Michigan. Unlike the Cardinals, the Eagles are coming off a pair of wins in the Mid-American Conference.Record: 2-13, 1-2 MAC

GymnasticsFor the first time this season the Ball State gymnastics team will compete at home as it plays host to Illinois State at 6 p.m. in Irving Gym. It is also the first home meet coach of Nadalie Walsh's Ball State career.Record: 0-1

Men's VolleyballLess than three weeks since its loss to No. 3 Penn State, the Ball State men's volleyball team gets another shot at the Nittany Lions. Penn State swept Ball State when the teams played at the Outrigger Invitational in Hawaii. Now the Cardinals, who are 0-4 against nationally ranked teams this season, get a second chance when the teams play at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Worthen Arena.Record: 1-4, 1-1 MIVA

TennisThe dual match season begins for the Ball State women's tennis team at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center against Dayton. The Ball State men's tennis begins its season at Illinois and then return home to play Northwestern on Sunday at the YMCA Tennis Center.

Women's Swimming & DivingWith confidence from last week's meets, the Ball State women's swimming and diving team continues it season at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lewellen Aquatic Center against Illinois State. The Cardinals and Redbirds both began their seasons Oct. 5 at the Notre Dame Relays, a meet in which the two teams tied for second place. Ball State is coming off wins last week in a relay meet and a four-team meet.
