Ball State University will pay former men's basketball coach Ronny Thompson $200,000 as part of a settlement stemming from his leaving the university in July.According to the settlement Ball State and Thompson reached the agreement Tuesday.The payment is in exchange for "Thompson's relinquishment of certain contract, tort, civil rights, employment and other rights and claims, and that Thompson will not be providing services of any kind to the university," according to the settlement.Both Ball State and Thompson agree that each party denies that it liable for the actions that led to the settlement.Read Thursday's Daily News for more information on the settlement.
