A representative from Paws Inc., the creators of Garfield the Cat, will speak from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday in Whitinger Business Building Room 144.
Tammy Estep, director of external relations, said Gay Nation, the director of sales for Paws Inc. will discuss her job and her experience working with Jim Davis, the creator of Garfield.
"This is part of our distinguished speaker series," Estep said. "It will be good for students to hear about what she does and about the licensing of products."
Nation regulates licensing for products of Garfield and the other characters, Estep said.
"It is aimed at business students, but it is open to anymore that wants to come," Estep said.
