Former Ball State University quarterback Joey Lynch was named the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at St. Joseph's College Tuesday.
Prior to taking the new position at St. Joseph's College, Lynch was going to be a Ball State graduate assistant football coach for the upcoming season.
Lynch finished his senior season last year with the program's second highest career passing percentage, completing 391 of 613 passes. During his career at Ball State, he passed for 4,292 yards and threw 37 touchdowns, third most in school history.
St. Joseph's College is located in Rensselaer, Ind., and plays Division II football as part of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Lynch is the second member of his family to become an offensive coordinator. His father is the current offensive coordinator for Indiana University and is a former head coach at Ball State.
