Former Ball State University men's basketball coach Tim Buckley's arbitration against the university has found a date. Beginning July 30th at 1 p.m. Floyd Weatherspoon of American Arbitration Association (AAA) will hear both sides and decide how much, if any, will be awarded to Buckley. The arbitration is scheduled to last for two days.
While the date has been set the two parties have not agreed on a location. The two sides are looking for a location in Indianapolis. It can be a conference room in a hotel, office building or any where both sides agree is sufficient.
AAA does have locations for arbitration in different cities around the country, but has yet to create one in Indianapolis.
Buckley is seeking $75,000, the amount he believes is owed from his contract that ended before its expiration date. Buckley was fired as Ball State's coach in March 2006 and transferred to a position in University Advancement. In the summer of 2006 he left Ball State accepting an assistant coaching job at the University of Iowa. He has since moved on to Marquette University as an assistant coach.
