Ball State University's men's tennis team plays in the semi-finals of the Mid-American Conference tournament in Fort Wayne on Friday at 2:00 p.m. against the University of Toledo. The Cardinals beat Toledo 5-2 in the regular season.
"Our approach is one match at a time," coach Bill Richards said. "All we are thinking about is our match against Toledo."
No. 2 singles player Aaron Phillips is officially out for the season. The Cardinals must come together to fill Phillips' leadership position, Richards said.
"Aaron Phillips is still hurt and everyone is going to have to assume a little bit more responsibility," Richards said.
The championship match of the tournament is at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
