SWIMMING AND DIVING: Junior finishes in top 18 at NCAA championships

Two divers for the Ball State University swimming and diving team competed at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships during the weekend, with one finishing in the top 18 in the 3-meter dive.

Junior Stephanie Paul finished 18th in the 3-meter dive among the women with a score of 463.95. She also competed in the 1-meter dive scoring 189.10, which placed her 39th in the competition.

For the men, senior Zach Whitaker placed 27th overall in both the 1 and 3-meter diving competitions. He scored a 212.85 in the 1-meter and a 241.20 in the 3-meter.

The diving championships, held at the University of Michigan, was the final competition for the two Cardinals in the 2007 season.
