Despite Mother Nature's best efforts, all teams planning on participating in the Ball State Triangular are still making the trip. In fact, an additional team has been added making the event a Quadrangular.
The Ball State University women's track and field team will play host to Miami University, Western Michigan University and Northern Illinois University today. The storm did push the start of the meet back from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Practice schedules were not interrupted by the weather Tuesday and Wednesday, coach Randy Heisler said.
"With a large amount of the girls living off campus it posed a problem," he said. "Pretty much everyone was able to make it in though, and for the most part they did light stuff."
The small break came at a very opportune time, Heisler said.
"With conference only about a week and a half away, the snow was actually kind of a blessing," Heisler said. "We weren't going to press anyone real hard this week or next so it kind of worked out."
