The Ball State University women's swimming and diving team ended its 2006-07 season with a seventh place finish at the Mid-American Conference Championships.
The four-day event started Thursday and concluded Saturday with all eight MAC women's swimming and diving programs competing.
The Cardinals finished with 308.5 points and had 100 points more than last-place University of Buffalo. Eastern Michigan University won the meet with 665 points.
One of the brightest spots for the swimming team was senior Mary Brinkoetter. Brinkoetter was named to the Second Team All-MAC squad and had the best overall finish for the team by placing third in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:28.15. She also finished fifth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.38, seventh as a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay and 15th overall in the 200-yard individual medley.
A leader for the diving team was junior Stephanie Paul. She finished eighth overall on the 1-meter board and 10th on the 3-meter board. Combined, she earned 473.05 points on her dives.
