Ball State University needs student opinion on moving the Multicultural Center into the L.A. Pittenger Student Center.
The Campus Action Team will discuss issues involved with the move at an open forum from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday in the Student Center Forum Room. Participants will also discuss what "multicultural" and "diversity" mean at Ball State.
University officials are deciding on Student Center renovations and if students want the Multicultural Center included in the renovations, the decision must be made in the next few days, according to Jayne Beilke, professor of educational studies.
Concerns about the Multicultural Center's current location include a lack of access for disabled students and visitors and that it is not diverse enough. Plans are underway to demolish it in the future.
