The Ball State University men's basketball team will look to recover from a loss to one of the worst teams in the Mid-American Conference by playing against one the best.
The Cardinals (7-14, 3-5 MAC) will be on the road for the second game in a row. They lost to Bowling Green State University Wednesday and have won one road game all season.
Akron University (16-4, 7-1 MAC) has dropped one home game all season and have won its last seven contests. The lone home loss for Akron came against then-No. 25 Nevada. The Zips are one of two 7-1 teams in the conference, and their four losses are the lowest in the MAC.
The Zips are the highest scoring team in the MAC, averaging 76.4 points per game. They also lead the MAC in field goal percentage, field goal percent defense, 3-point field goal percentage, blocked shots, assists and turnover margin.
