Ball State University students who purchased peanut butter at on-campus dining outlets should check their containers to see if the food is included in a recall.
University officials confirmed Tuesday that some jars of Peter Pan brand peanut butter were sold through Dining facilities prior to the recall.
Students should check the lid of the peanut butter jars to see if code 2111 is stamped on the top. If so, the peanut butter should be thrown away.
University officials said the stock was pulled from shelves a day before the recall went public.
