Residents of Scheidler Apartments were left without running water after a break in a water main Thursday.
A shear in the water line caused a small amount of water to come to the surface of the ground at around 9 a.m., Sally Friestat, assistant director of housing and residence life, said.
The repair, which was completed by around 4 p.m., was more difficult than usual because the repair crew had to dig around a storm sewer and a sanitary sewer, project supervisor Rick Spoonemore said.
