After a season-opening loss to Ohio State University, the Ball State University gymnastics team will look to cut down on its mistakes at Kent State University today. Ball State is looking for its first win of the season against Mid-American Conference rival Kent State.The Golden Flashes (1-0), defeated the defending 2006 MAC champions Western Michigan University 193.1 to 187.625 at home last Friday. Kent State was led by junior Kristin Peters and freshman Brittany Kopp. Peters placed first on uneven bars and balance beam, while Kopp, in her first collegiate meet, scored a 9.800 on vault for first place. One of the overall weakest areas for Kent State was the balance beam. Kent State's first three competitors fell off the beam during their routines.
