An open house from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Atrium Gallery todaywill highlight the opening of a new art Web site,www.absorbart.com.
Via the site, people can move through art galleries, talk toartists, hear from art experts and visit art studios.
The open house will feature the art displayed in the Web site,which includes the works of Pamela deMarris, Jon Stine, AlfredoMarin Carle and William Zack. The open house will run untilTuesday.
Students Mark Miller, Chad Yoder, Tony Kubek and Kyle Fergusoncreated the Web site. They received a $20,000 grant to developit.
Their adviser is Jay Zimmerman. The Mitchell Place Gallerysponsored the project.
The final product of the Web project will be displayed in Marchat the opening of a Mitchell Place Gallery in downtown Muncie.
