Ball State baseball player Brad Snyder was named to the ABCA All-MidEast Regional First Team for the 2003 season. The honor goes along with his being named to the 2003 Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger All-America First Team.
Snyder, who was a first-round draft pick by the Cleveland Indians in the 2003 Major League Baseball draft, was also the Player of the Year for 2003 Mid-American Conference season. He ranked among the league leaders in several offensive categories while being the leader in a few categories, including hits and setting the school record with 25 doubles. He also set the school record for walks (49) and runs per game (1.24). With three college seasons under his belt, Snyder maintained a .378 batting average, tying for second in Ball State history.
Snyder being named an All-American this season marked the second time in his career he was recognized for his play by Louisville Slugger. As a freshman, he was a Louisville Slugger All-American.
