The Muncie Board of Public Works and Safety approved an agreement between Muncie Mayor Dan Canan and Ball State President Blaine Brownell last Wednesday.
The agreement included plans for the design and reconstruction of McKinley and Riverside avenues. The reconstruction will include a pedestrian median along McKinley, new storm sewers and traffic signals.
The rebuild is expected to cost in excess of $11 million.
Before bids for the work will be accepted, the Indiana Department of Transportation must approve the design and construction plans.
